Teton County experienced an increase in buyer demand during the first quarter 2010, and Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty continues to lead the way with a 70% market share as reported by Teton County Multiple List Service (MLS).

In May 2010, sales volume rose 166% over last year and units sold doubled. Teton County MLS reported eleven sales over $1M in May, vs. seven last month and only four in May of last year, indicating that buyer demand is increasing beyond just the lower end of the market. Confirming that trend, Teton County had 40 sales year-to-date over $1M in 2010, versus only 19 last year.

For instance, in May 2010, 73% of the properties that sold in Teton County were listed with our brokerage, and our agents sold 55% of all properties that closed in May as reported by the Teton County MLS. In addition, our brokerage sold an additional $3M in May that were not a part of the MLS system.

In fact, in the first quarter of 2010, our agents participated in 6 times the dollar volume of our closest competitor. Also, the average sold price at Jackson Hole Sotheby’s International Realty in Q1 2010 was double that of the average of all other firms.
